The short version: your audio and your text stay on your computer. Wrenscribe has no server, no account and no analytics.
What goes over the network
The model downloads during setup, and nothing else. Recording, transcription, cleanup and pasting all happen locally.

History keeps each dictation's raw transcript, final text, timings and which app it went to. You can delete a single dictation, clear all of them, or change how long audio is kept in Settings.
The clipboard
Pasting goes through the clipboard for a moment. Wrenscribe saves what was on it first and puts it back afterwards.
This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. If you join the waitlist, your email address is stored with our email provider for one purpose: telling you when there is something to install. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
